Thanyapura Health & Sports Resort welcome Ms. Morgane Quinchon, a new Registered Dietician

Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort is excited to welcome Ms. Morgane Quinchon, a Registered Dietician, to the health and wellness team.

Morgane is originally from France, and has most recently worked in Bangkok at the Rasayana Retreat as a Health and Wellness Director, and as a Nutritionist at Dressed Thailand. When asked why she chose to join Thanyapura, Morgane said, “I strongly believe in Thanyapura’s three-dimensional approach; the development of the body, the mind and the soul. I started with a scientific background but with time and practice I developed a more holistic approach. Being healthy is more than just a trend - it’s a way of life.”

Morgane obtained her medical degree from Paris Descartes University in 2008, and has gained experience in medicine and nutrition from Paris and Bangkok, where she has been living since 2016. As a former medical student, she decided to focus her time and passions on the first form of medicine - nutrition and food. She became a registered dietitian nutritionist in 2015 through a Higher Technical Degree in Dietetics.

During her time at Rasayana Retreat, Morgane created individualised meal plans for guests, provided personal diet consultations and conducted healthy eating workshop for adults and children. At Dressed Thailand, she worked with the Head Chef to develop a new menu, invented new recipes and created different options for guests who were particularly health-conscious.

As a holistic health professional, Morgane works to translate current scientific evidence into practical lifestyle advice, to educate and motivate people of all ages to reach their health and fitness goals. Back in Paris, she worked as a clinician Dietician at St Joseph Hospital, a private not-for-profit organisation providing medical attention and services to patients around the world. She conducted nutritional assessments, appropriate follow-ups in accordance with patients’ treatment goals, and referred patients for outpatient counselling and community health services when appropriate.

When asked about her drive, she replied by simply saying, “The greatest wealth is health.” She joins the Thanyapura team on 8 January 2018.
