According to Dr. Somrit Jantarapratin, Director of Bangkok Hospital Phuket, "the Be Healthy Fair is an annual big event organized to thank people on the island and nearby coastal provinces for their continued trust. This year's activities are held in the "Smart Health for Smart Life" concept to encourage everyone to stay healthy holistically and adopt smart technology to better take care of their health, including wholesome diet, proper exercise, smart attitude, all for a better quality of life. All are welcome to join various activities designed to benefit different age groups and genders throughout the health fair period from 15 May - 15 June 2017, e.g. smart mind, right attitude talk show by Khunkhao Sindhusen Khaejornbut, a famous life coach/psychologist, health talk: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, cycling challenge workshop, cuisine workshop for women during weight loss using sports medicine principles, pregnant mom workshop, baby development programs, social media for senior people workshop. "Apart from taking care of local people, our hospital encourages staff at all levels to stay healthy. Currently, we have internal sports competitions every month among teams of different colors. This month, we have squat challenge, and our staff post their workout on facebook to gain scores for their teams. And today is the Challenge Day, when each team parades their color in the biggest number possible and strikes a body combat workout on the hospital's birthday, 22 May. We have to stay healthy first before taking care of others," added the hospital director.

As for the much-awaited check-up promotions, Dr. Somrit noted, "apart from those health activities aforementioned, a myriad of check-up promotions and medical services are on offer at a whopping discount. They are specially designed for each age group and gender with a starting price from 1,900 Baht. Specialized exams are also available, e.g. colorectal, prostate, cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening with Digital Mammogram, a sleep disorder test, allergy tests, measurement of anti-oxidants, minerals, vitamins in the body as part of anti-aging medicine. Annual health check-up is very important. For those with good health, it will give further guidelines to stay fit and healthy. If anything is found to be wrong during check-up, it can be treated at an early stage for better outcome as well as cost saving for healthcare in the long run".

Nowadays, it is not enough to stay healthy just physically, but one also needs a healthy mind.
