"Janesuda X Cape Kudu" launches a new collection "Janesuda Sea La Vie" on an exclusive trip to the stunning seas and sandy beaches of Koh Yao Noi

Janesuda and Cape Kudu host an exclusive trip with Bangkok Airways flight on the first step to Koh Yao Noi to unveil the new collection, “Janesuda Sea La Vie”, that wows celebrity guests with a fashion show on a sandy runway and oceanic beauty in the background. Combined with exposure to the peaceful, harmonious local life on the island, the trip makes for an unforgettable escape to the sea.

Janesuda, Thailand’s unique fashion house, teams up with Cape Kudu, luxury hotel in Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, to unravel the new collection, Janesuda Sea La Vie, inspired by the turquoise allure of the sea.

Janesuda Panto, head designer and founder of Janesuda, along with Tirawan Taechaubol, Project Development Manager of Kasemkij Hotel Group and owner of Cape Kudu, talk about the story behind this exclusive trip, that “Janesuda Sea La Vie” is inspired by the sea. Therefore, the press and the celebrity guests were whisked away to experience the stunning seascape to see the muse of this fashion collection. After a vacation at Cape Kudu, Koh Yao Noi, she was inspired by the magnificent features of the hotel, natural abundance and the simple and peaceful life of the local community, and her creation truly reflects them.

The exclusive trip took off aboard a Bangkok Airways flight on the first step to Koh Yao Noi, where guests were treated to a fashion show on the beach, and a day trip to Koh Hong - a wonderful welcome amongst the natural beauty in one of the top-ten most stunning and pristine islands in the world. The guests then adjourned to a sumptuous romantic dinner, and the following day enjoyed a discovery trip to learn about the local living on the island.

“This event is very simple. It’s a fashion show on the beach with all the islets around Koh Hong as a backdrop. It’s a naturally stunning visual that we don’t want to tamper with, to give our guests the best that nature can offer,” the famed designer says.

From concept design to execution, Janesuda took close to one year to complete the “Janesuda Sea La Vie” collection. Comprising 25 looks for women with unique style, the collection is also made for mix-and-match for several different occasions and fashion-style divided by colour and fabric texture. Chiffon is used to portray the flowing nature of the sea, while the light and see-through organza silk is chosen to express the delicateness of women. The collection also showcases Janesuda’s signature silhouette where laces are combined to render various different looks. “Janesuda Sea La Vie” is also the first collection of the house that presents its vibrant colours such as mint green, yellow, red, blue and light blue.

Janesuda elaborates, “Apart from the sea which is my main inspiration for the collection, I also draw some motifs from sailing boats. When boats are sailing into an open sea, you’ll get dots of bright colors. Some boats even have more than three colours in one. So I put some of those colours in the collection. Moreover, we still maintain the signature of the brand where lace strips are sewn with organza silk in two tone, offering two shades of colour in one piece.”

Tirawan, Project Development Manager of Kasemkij Hotel Group and owner of Cape Kudu, enthuses that this is the first time Cape Kudu has participated in a fashion brand like Janesuda that is very unique in its simplicity and elegance. Janesuda’s aesthetic also goes with the concept of Cape Kudu, which, despite its compact size, offers full-scale luxury services and amenities that attract both local and international travellers who wish to holiday in a slice of paradise.

“Guests can get close to the fertile nature of Koh Yao Noi and at the same time indulge in luxurious comfort and world-class services amid beautiful surroundings. We also encourage our guests to immerse themselves in the local culture and living by exploring the local communities, trying local food made with natural local finds and enjoying a variety of activities such as cycling, rock climbing, diving and a scenic long-tail boat ride around Koh Yao Noi, all the while minimally affecting nature. It is always everyone’s memorable getaway.”
