Rooted in a unique design experience and style, reflecting the most authentic Italian nautical tradition, the new Ferretti Yachts 850 is ready to redefine the cruising experience. Setting new standards in engineering and design is only possible for leaders in the industry like Ferretti Yachts and its team, heirs of the Made in Italy boat building tradition, who are carrying forward this heritage. Ferretti Yachts 850 is exploring new waters with its combination of power and beauty, aggressive appeal, elegance and luxury. Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, with exterior design by Studio Zuccon International Project, and the Group’s Engineering Department joined forces to create the yacht that is described as a ‘maxi loft surrounded by the sea’.
The waterlines draw inspiration from the successful Ferretti Yachts 80-footer and have been adapted to the increased length of the hull, which is now 85.4ft (26m).
“The Ferretti Yacht 850 plays a key role in the evolution of our range. It features captivating design and bold performance, but also seductive interiors, comparable to those one would find in a sumptuous loft apartment. We’re proud to be presenting a yacht that will leave luxury boating enthusiasts breathless as soon as they step aboard,” says Ferretti Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Stefano De Vivo.
Characterised by sharp angles showing off a strong, aggressive personality, the Ferretti Yachts 850 is immediately striking for its bold profile. The two trapezoidal hull windows with integrated portholes are very large and extremely streamlined, thus maximising the amount of natural light and providing magnificent views.
The profile is completed by the flybridge with its optional fore-and-aft hard top over the raised pilothouse and roll bar in vulcan grey contrasting sharply with the ivory white of the hull and superstructure.
The aft area features an innovative mechanism to open and fold down the transom door. This becomes a ‘beach area’ that can also be lowered under water providing a large submersible platform to enjoy. This also makes tender operations easier.
Both exterior and interior furniture and fittings redefine the architectural and design ‘language’ of yachting with gritty design and performance, along with seductive interiors. Powerful beauty, overwhelming charm, elegance and luxury are expressed through previously unexplored combinations. This new yacht features design elements that include accessories and built-in furniture by the highly acclaimed furniture-design group Minotti.
The living style is in line with the latest developments in residential architecture, characterised by sober minimalism and relaxing simplicity.
Engine performance is powered by MAN engines. Owners have two options: twin V12 1800 mhp engines for a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 29 knots, or more powerful twin V12 1900 mhp engines for a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots (preliminary data).
The Ferretti Yachts 850 is indeed a new luxury icon, offering owners the opportunity to live in a luxurious apartment-like space on the sea. The new Ferretti Yachts FY850 will be introduced at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2016 with deliveries starting from year end.
Phuket’s perfect big-small boat
“Stop boating start Pershing” is the company’s latest tagline, declaring a spirit of speed, luxury and performance. Developed around adrenaline, not just boat performance, this is perfect for Phuket
One of the latest Pershing projects, the Pershing 5X is due to be unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, 2016. Five have already been sold from the renderings. Her 54ft-length is a prime example of a big-small boat fitting the criteria communicated by Pershing owners. The 5X is an innovative departure for Pershing and also takes design cues from the much acclaimed and best-selling P70 launched in 2015, bringing them in a smaller package.
Fitting the full-beam master cabin that spans the stern’s width with maximum clearance is one result of how seriously Pershing listens to its clients. In the 5X, this is a sought-after feature for current Pershing owners, while at the same time attracting new clients. A VIP double in the bow has also its own en-suite space. Between the cabins is a C-shaped dinette to port, and L-shaped galley opposite. New wings and a door leading from the saloon to the cockpit are seen for the first time in a 50 footer.
This new Italian sports-cruiser will be available with a choice of IPS or surface drives.
The Pershing 5X certainly retains the sporty qualities of this range with a top speed of 45 knots from the twin 1,000hp CAT 12.9 surface drives. Those choosing the twin 725hp Volvo IPS950 option will have a top speed of 35 knots. Both versions boast a cruising range of approximately 280nm from the 2,200-litre fuel tanks.
Exploring new products and suppliers, yet maintaining Pershing’s signature silver colour and the same DNA is key to creating the next, best boat. In this size of boat more time, design, and revisions combined to maximise the space effectively and get every detail just right. The Pershing 5X feels bigger than that she actually is with an exciting large yacht feel… just perfect for Phuket.
Lee Marine is pleased to be the Thailand Distributor for Pershing and the Ferretti Group brands.
