Two Chefs´ secret of success is serving up some of the most delicious food on the island at affordable prices. Service staff are friendly and eager to give recommendations, while remaining professional and unobtrusive.

In Phuket, there are three Two Chefs Bar & Grill restaurant outlets, in Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Kata Center. These restaurants have been driven forward by the same management team for 15 years, which goes some way to explaining the reputation for excellence the brand has achieved, as well as their loyal following among Phuket residents and regular overseas visitors alike.

Two Chefs Patong was buzzing when we arrived at 8.30pm - a good sign, especially when others nearby were very quiet! If you arrive by taxi, get dropped at the door, but if you´re coming by car you´ll need to hunt for parking and may need a short walk back.

Seating is all open air with fans. At the back of the restaurant there´s an acoustic guitarist strumming away with a selection of middle-of-the-road songs, adding to the open air ambience and complementing Patong´s passing people parade.

We got stuck into a couple of great cocktails: a raspberry Margarita and a sizable mug/jug of Mojito, mixed exactly as I like it. Then our starters arrived really quickly - mine a wonderfully creamy Lobster bisque flavoured with saffron and served with garlic bread, my partner´s a tasty Toast Skagen (prawns in mayonnaise with dill and lemon on toast).

For main course, we shared a combination plate of Ribs, chicken legs, crispy potato wedges, salad and dipping sauces and a Wooden platter with grilled salmon, sautéed spinach, mashed potato oven baked with red wine and lemon and thyme hollandaise sauce. Superb and perfect food to share!

For dessert it was Apple pie à la Two Chefs with vanilla sauce and a Crème brûlée - both perfectly excellent.

Easy listing live music, efficient service with attentive staff, a huge variety of menu choices - and a chance to try Scandinavian food at its best. Lucky for us they´ve opened in Patong. Not so lucky for the surrounding restaurants...

Two Chefs Summer Salad

Sesame-apple citrus dressing

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • tsp fresh pureed garlic
  • 1 tsp honey
  • salt and pepper to taste

Mix ingredients together with a blender or whisk

Salad ingredients

  • 15g watercress
  • 10g asparagus
  • 20g fresh orange pieces
  • 20g shallots
  • 30g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 pcs fresh basil
  • 40g smoked salmon
  • 60g cos lettuce

Instructions

Grill the asparagus for 1-2 mins. Remove from grill and when cool cut into smaller pieces.

Dice the shallots, thinly slice the basil, cut the cherry tomatoes in halves and peel the orange and cut into smaller pieces.

Mix ingredients together and add salad dressing.

Adam Goodman

Adam Goodman, Executive Chef of Phuket’s famed Two Chefs Restaurants & Catering, originally hails from Vancouver, BC.

An alumnus of world-famous French culinary school Le Cordon Bleu, his international culinary repertoire includes running kitchens and catering operations in Canada, China and Thailand.

Since 2014, Goodman has spearheaded and overseen the development of Two Chefs’ four kitchens and large catering operations. Prior to Phuket, he plied his trade managing a large restaurant and catering operation in Beijing.

Goodman is inspired by, and continues to contribute to, Phuket’s burgeoning food, beverage and hospitality industry.
