Phuket, Sep 20th 2017: ofo, the world's first and largestdockless bike-sharingplatform and mobile app,in collaboration with Phuket City Development to enhance Smart City project, launching the ofo bike-sharing service in Phuket with 1,000 innovative Smart Lock bikesto leverage the convenient and flexible journey to every users. Special for Phuket residents, 1 month free trialwithout deposit fee startsfrom 1st October.

ofo is designed for Point to Point travel within 1-to-5-kilometer journey in order to reduce travel costs and parking problems inheavytraffic areas.Bike-sharing is a bike rental service that combines with technology on mobile application. Users can find bikes on the map and simply use it by scanning QR Code to unlock the bike and everyone can share every bicycle.For appropriate parking, the designated park locations will be displayed on the application. ofo's regular service fee will be charged at 5 Baht per 30 minutes usage, with a deposit fee of 99 Baht, which can be paid conveniently via the application.

ofo is the world's number one dockless bike-sharing operator with a leap of growth, currently operates in more than 170 cities across nine countries, with more than 10 million bicycles available,generating more than 25 million daily transactions.

Thailand is considered one of the strategic areas of ofo in expanding its service in Southeast Asia due to the population of over 70millions, with more than 700,000students and more than7millionsof Chinese touriststraveling to Thailand each year.Recently, ofo began to run ofo pilot service in the campus with 1,000 ofo bikes in Thammasat University-Rangsit Campus last August which gained a good response from teachers, staffs and students, travelling in the campus effectively.

The special feature is scanning QR code on the bike to unlock, without having to enter code like the former models.At the first phase, ofo has providedmore than 1,000smart-lock bike in Phuket’s key locations includingPrince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, Phuket Merlin Hotel,The Pearl Phuket Hotel, The Tint At Phuket Town Hotel, Limelight Avenue Phuket, Sengho Bookstore, Robinson Phuket, Bang Neaw Shrine, Phuket Rajaphat University, Saphan Hin Park and Phuket Oldtown. Special promotion is free trialwithout deposit fee for 1month on this October.
