Things to do in Phuket

The international resort which has everything. For many people their dream holiday on the island is all about beach, beach and more beach, followed by fine dining and late night partying. Who could blame them? These days though, we find that visitors are increasingly adventurous and for this reason we at ‘Shop WINDOW on Lifestyle’ have put together a selection of more exotic and unusual activities. Enjoy yourselves.

Patong's Bangla Road

Many people come to Phuket just to revel in the razzmatazz of Patong’s hotspots but even if your tastes are generally more moderate, you really should not miss the opportunity to visit this international icon of the hedonistic lifestyle. A short street in the heart of down-town Patong, Soi Bangla packs more than a hundred bars, restaurants and discotheques into a single traffic-free, brightly-lit celebration of glitz which operates from dusk until dawn.

Walking up and down or dropping into throbbing cacophonous homages to Mammon like the Tiger Disco or Rock City will leave you with vivid memories as enduring as those of the beautiful beaches you enjoyed in the daylight hours. Please come back.

Go Kart

This is one activity in Phuket you simply cannot miss. An open-wheeler motor sport for those who love speed. Bring your friends for some heart pumpin' kart racing start the adrenalin rush as the power round the track or share the thrills in the special double seater'kart. Fun sport but not dangerous.

The good news for surf lovers is that surfing in Phuket is great; the waves at most of the beaches are predictable and fun to ride during this season, so even if you are beginner you can find plenty of great beaches like Kalim, Kata, Karon, Patong and Nai Harn to hone your skills. These beaches have become popular surfing destinations and now offer surf shops and tuition centres for all skill levels.
