The new Azimut 66 has its sights firmly set on the future as it strives to deliver an unprecedented onboard experience for the owners and their guests. Peerless lines and layouts are based on a concept that continues to break new ground, drawing authentic inspiration from Azimut’s uniquely successful heritage in the flybridge segment, with more than 300 Azimut 62s and 64s sold around the world since 2002.

A high-tech heart and soul
Electronic power steering system: to give you the same sensation as driving a thoroughbred sports car. The world’s first control system for inboard engines that allows owners to customise the yacht’s responsiveness to reflect their own personal piloting style. Pure carbon fibre is used to laminate the radar arch, the hard top, the upper forward part of the flybridge and the foredeck. This means being able to offer more space, which translates into better onboard comfort, while maintaining excellent levels of dynamic stability and trim.

New domotic system: emotion-based technology. Up to three pre-set mood lighting environments to create the desired atmosphere onboard. The electrical frosting divider between the galley and the living area can be obscured to provide maximum privacy only when it’s needed.

The integrated Raymarine monitoring system has been customised in order to provide interfaces with as many onboard systems as possible. Its functions can be accessed from both helm stations and remotely by tablet: from the engine data to the alarms and bilge pumps, from tank levels and discharge pumps to engine room ventilation, up to the sound system and the air-conditioning regulation. Everything is close to hand and customisable and each individual area can be managed separately.

Now on board, the latest trends from Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture show.

The latest trends from Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture show have been taken on board, inspiring the furnishing and décor in a style that reflects an exquisitely Italian sense of history, heritage and culture. Examples are the heat-treated oak, elegant figured sycamore and highly prized maple, enhanced with an ultra-glossy varnish in the finest tradition of Italian handcraftsmanship. Dimmable LED strips hidden behind the curtains enhance the colour shades of the wood used as well as the contrasts between the various materials.

The Owner’s Suite in the centre of the yacht has full-glass windows with no struts and a choice is offered between a vanity area or a chest of drawers to complement the wardrobes. Owners can also decide whether to fit Roman blinds or wooden Venetian blinds.

The exterior design by Stefano Righini combines more space with the bold, flowing lines that have become a distinctive feature of Azimut through the years, as well as offering the owner the chance to enhance the yacht’s contours with a distinctive personal touch, by allowing them to choose their own colour for the gunwales.

The end result is appealing and full of spirit, but continues to be practical, comfortable and safe. The raised bulwarks and waterlines are as impressive as they are sporty and streamlined, right from the very first glance.

Simply impeccable performance

The lines of the Azimut 66’s hull are the same as those which have given Azimut 62 and 64 owners so much pleasure at sea. Exceptional handling, reduced dynamic trim angles at all speeds, soft entry and superb performance are the results of a perfect relationship between weight distribution, wet surface and balance forces.
